What is Afolics?
Afolics is short for After School Academics. It is a South African tutoring group whose focus is to inspire and teach young and upcoming learners across the world about subjects that make up the famous acronym, STEM.
Though our primary focus are high school learners, we actually focus on a variety of subjects that are not limited to a school setting. This is baked into the name Afolics. We love STEM so much so that we also inspire and teach people who are not in school.
What is Team Afolics?
Afolics is a tutoring business focusing on tutoring and equipping every learner in the STEM space. But Team Afolics is a group of tutors, researchers and developers who are dedicated to creating content suitable to make the teaching and learning in Afolics a success.
This content includes, but not limited to books, apps, games, videos, images...etc.
We may collaborate with individuals, groups and organisationsthat are not directly related to us, so that we may deliver our offerings in the best possible ways.
What is STEM?
It is a famous acronym that groups 4 umbrellas of technical subjects. In full, it is Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics. Each of this umbrella encapsulates subjects that are closely related to Each other.
Each of these subjects are studied from the first grade, up until the last grade in a normal school setting. Then, in tertiary, each subject is explored in greater details. Each subject has a number of careers in it, and all of them overlap in many careers.
